PRAY FOR THE CITIES Oct-Nov 2007

My heart has been deeply challenged by the Holy Spirit for the need to consecrate myself, to be delivered from indulgence, to reassert my total dependence on the Lord. He is the only true Shelter and Hiding Place we have.
National insanity seems to be the policy of our lawmakers concerning Moslems and Israel. I have watched what was left of the moral fiber of our country unravel since 911. America is the only country in the world who would suffer such atrocity from Moslems to then impress tolerance of Islam on her citizens, force school children to study the Koran, and simultaneously blaspheme Christianity continously, while doing everything possible to assist Moslem terrorists in dividing Jerusalem and the tiny nation of Israel.
Anytime you hear of the formation of a Palestinian state with ceded Israeli territory, please keep in mind that this almost miniscule country is 37 miles wide at her narrowest point, and about the size of Rhode Island. Look at a map occasionally and view the millions of square miles of available land around Israel controlled by huge, wealthy Moslem nations.
A modern country with a complete infrastructure could be carved out of these nations easily for the Palestinians. Never forget the goal is not a Palestinian State, but the absolute destruction of the Jews. The spirit of Hitler lives.
Everytime our government has forced Israel to give up territory, horrible disasters have hit our blinded nation, which are, in my opinion, a desperate wake-up call we have ignored.
As crazy as it sounds, Americans have converted to Islam in record numbers since 911. Concerned citizens who have reported suspicous folk to the authorities have been vilainized by the press; Christians have been blamed by secularists for these attacks because of our support for the nation of Israel.
We forget that Senator Robert Kennedy was a shoe-in to be our next president when he was shot down by militant Moslem assasin Sirhan Sirhan in 1968 in a carefully planned plot. Sirhan "executed" Robert Kennedy in the name of Allah, in retaliation for his unabashed admiration of, and support for the Jewish State of Israel.
I wonder objectively where are the combined might and voices of the Jewish filmakers, journalists, and industrialists, many of whom sway global empires and command the respect of governments? Are they so secular they agree with the vilification of Jews, and American Christians? Do they not speak for fear?
Only a few weeks ago, the American voter rose at a grass roots level to force the government not to dissolve the borders of our beleaguered nation through the heinous Amnesty Bill. Untold millions of illegals would have been given a sure ticket to citizenship with sudden political control the pot for unscrupulous globalists. I do not mean to be alarmist, but the majority of politicians were for this horrendous sell-out of the country. If you want a wake-up, do a word search on NAFTA Superhighway.
At the same time, our leaders are negotiating with the UN to give up control of large portions of our military. Nothing less than national suicide seems the mantra of media and government.
We should be begging God to protect this nation. We are at war, with the possibility of a global conflict errupting at any moment. It is common knowledge that Moslem terrorists are on American soil. We have the longest undefended borders in the world, both North and South. The Lord Himself has been our defense, but we are slapping Him in the Face continously. Just this month, the American House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly to honor the Moslem faith officially and the celebration of the Moslem holy month of Rammadan. Our president has openly stated admiration for the Moslem faith and has touted the anti-Christ mantra that all faiths pray to the same god.
Simultaneously the American House of Representatives overwhelmingly refused a measure to honor the Christian faith and the Christian celebration of Christmas. Treasonous Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, openly consorted with Moslem leaders who support terrorists on how to influence the next election, but refuses to put "In God We Trust" on Capitol flag certificates because of the supposed separation of Church and state. I have wondered if anyone besides me thinks this is beyond insane?
The following quotes in this newsletter that are not Scripture, are from a Christian magazine, "LAMPLIGHTER", a publication of Lamb and Lion Ministries in McKinney, Texas. I believe that many Christians are in denial about, and most Americans ignorant of, the true nature of Islam--it is my believe it is relgiously the purest manifestation of the Anti-Christ spirit on the earth. Culturally, I believe American and Western secularism is an evil twin.
A great deal of hoopla was made by pro-Islamic forces in our country over the fact that founding father, Thomas Jefferson owned a copy of the Koran, or Quran. He was obliged to know what made one of the greatest enemies of our emerging nation tick. The following is taken from page fifteen of the May-June 2007 issue XXVIII of the above stated magazine, as follows:
"...His ownership of this volume was most likely asociated with his attempt to better understand one of the initial enemies of the new American government--namely, the Islamic Barbary Pirates who preyed on commercial vessels off the coast of North Africa. These pirates were notorious for their slave trade. They pillaged villages along the coast and commandeered vessels on the high seas, seeking both booty and slaves.
When the American colonies rebelled against British rule in 1776, America merchant ships lost the protection of the Royal Navy. Since there was no American Navy, the nation's ships were attacked with ease and their crews were enslaved.
The situation became so serious that the Continental Congress decided in 1784 to try to negotiate treaties with the Barbary states. A special commission consisting of John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin was appointed to oversee the negotiations.
The Compromise Approach
Adams favored paying tribute to secure safe passage for American ships. Jefferson was opposed because he believed that bribes would only whet the appetite of the pirates. He proposed that they form a league of trading nations and settle the matter 'through the medium of war.'
In 1786 Jefferson and Adams met in London with the ambassador of the "Dey of Algiers," the leading Islamic warlord of Algeria. At the time, Jefferson was ambassador to France and Adams was ambassador to Great Britain. During the meeting, the Americans asked the Islamic ambassadors why Muslims held so much animosity towards the United States. They later reported to the Congress that the ambassador told them:
That it was written in their Quran that all nations
who should not have acknowledged their authority
were sinners and that is was their right and duty to
make war upon them wherever they could be found, and
make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and
that every Muslim who should be slain in battle was
sure to go to Paradise.
Congress decided to pay tribute, and millions of dollars were paid to the Muslims over the next 15 years. The payments in ransom and tribute amounted to 20 percent of the American government's revenue in 1800!
The Confrontational Approach
After Thomas Jefferson's inauguration as President in 1801, he decided that the time had come to end American payments. He stated that he was no longer willing to acquiesce to the 'humiliation of paying a tribute to those lawless pirates.'
In response, Tripoli declared war against the United States (and Algiers threatened to do so), thus constituting America's first official war as an independent nation. Jefferson responded by declaring that America would spend 'millions for defense, but not one cent for tribute.' He then sent a group of frigates to defend American interests in the Mediterranean.
The American ships bombarded coastal areas while the Marines landed and fought to capture towns, ultimately resulting in the surrender of Tripoli, a military victory enshrined in the Marine Hymn with the words, 'From the Halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli, we will fight our country's battle on the land as on the sea.'
Ted Sampley, in an excellent article in the 'U.S. Veteran Dispatch,' summed up the conflict and its modern day significance very succinctly in the following words:
Jefferson had been right. The "medium of war" was
the only way to put an end to the Muslim problem.
Mr. Ellison was right about Jefferson. He was a
"visionary" wise enough to read and learn about
the enemy from their own Muslim book of Jihad.
Nothing has really changed since the days of Jefferson. Islamic fundamnetalists still aim at taking over the world for Allah. They are still willing to die for the cause of Jihad. And the only thing they still respect is power."
I believe as American Christians we must fly the banner of Jesus Christ first, but also stand in reality about the combined military and spiritual threat to our nation from Islam. There hatred of us is not fincancial nor military, but is rooted deep the in the realm of the spirit in the very genetics of Islam, and the Covenant Promise of God through Abraham. This is a war between brothers, one of whom had the Covenant blessing, one who did not. This is a major conflict of Christ and anti-Christ.
Everyone knows the account of patriarch Abram, the promise of an heir, and his wife, Sarai's cultural attempt to fufill God's Word through her handmaid, Hagar. Ishmael was the resulting son. Hagar ran away due to Sarai's jealousy; the Angel of the Lord appeared to the pregnant slave and gave this startling prophecy over the unborn child,
"Then the Angel of the Lord said to her, 'I will multiply your descendants exceedingly, so that they shall not be counted for multitude.'
And the Angel of the Lord said to her: Behold you are with child, and you will bear a son. You will call his name Ishmael, because the Lord has heard your affliction. He shall be a wild man; his hand shall be against every man, and every man's hand against him. And he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren."--Genesis 16: 10-12 NKJ
An American missionary who spent his lifetime in the Middle East shared these Scriptures with me many years ago. He told me the only time Moslems stopped killing one another was if they were fighting invaders, or killing Jews. The hatred of life is a religious fervor among Moslems that is ancestral and territorial.
Look at the Scripture after God visited the patriarchal couple changing their names to Abraham and Sarah. Isaac had been born, and a few years later, weaned,
"So the child grew and was weaned. And Abraham made a great feast on the same day that Isaac was weaned. And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, scoffing. Therefore she said to Abraham, 'Cast out this bondwoman and her son, for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, namely with Isaac.' And the matter was very displeasing in Abraham's sight because of his son. But God said to Abraham, 'Do not let it be displeasing in your sight because of the lad or because of your bondwoman. Whatever Sarah has said to you, listen to her voice; for in Isaac your seed shall be called. Yet I will also make a nation of the son of the bondwoman because he is your seed.'"--Genesis 21: 8-13 NKJ
We are bound to a conflict that is ours by inheritance as Christians from our fathers, the Jews. The following vignette of God's selection of Isaac sets the nail into the acceleration of world events.
"Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, 'Abraham!' And he said, 'Here I am.' Then He said, 'Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love.....'" Genesis 22 1-2a NKJ
It will never become apparent to a non-Jew or non-Christian, but God chose Isaac as the "only son of Abraham" and decried Ishmael as the "son of the bondwoman" and Abraham's natural son. Isaac is the child of promise. Herein lies the ancient globabl struggle.
Then there is the de-Christianization and false peace movement in our own society...
We have become a weary, dull, and sensual people given to our appetites and idolatry of self. We seem to have no stomach for the Truth of God's Word, or even for common sense. It is a sad day in the world when the most practical and inventive nation on earth has no use for common sense, even an apparent disdain for basic survival skills. We have so forgotten our own history, are subsequently ambivalent about the present, and without the absolute sovereignty of God in full possession of our destiny, the future will be determined by those who believe they do God service by destroying us.
I do no mean this sarcastically, but if we have no relevance in history, and the only reality that which suits the immediate, we are hopeless. Consider the following quote from the great British statesman, Winston Churchill, from page 11 of the same volume of "LAMPLIGHTER", as follows:
"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are evident in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly methods of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity...
Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities...but the influence of the religion paralyzes the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith...raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science...the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.'--from Winston Churchill's book, The River War (1899."
Sadly, Europe is moribund, or dead in the water as Christendom, and America is not far behind. Christianity is now despised by the strong arms of science, and Mohammedianism, or Islam, is well supplied with weaponry by our own supposed allies, and well financed by our money.
While our politicians and intelligentsia whittle away at the only Foundation we have, and the hope for continual prosperity and peace at any cost play the angst of our corrupt sensibilities, an enemy has arisen within and without.
Amazing that Moslems can blow up their own mosques, behead struggling and defenseless captives on the world-wide web, sexually mutilate millions of little girls with female circumcision, openly declare their plans to destroy Israel and the United States, and still enjoy the favor of politically correct politicians and press.
I do not hate Moslems. I tremble for the plight of those who suffer under the bondage of Islam. I have a dear Moslem friend who invites me to pray for him. I have warned him of the horrible backlash that will come against Moslems in America in the face of another attack. I have told him to hide his family, for the civil authorities will not be able to protect them from the angry fear of ignorant Americans if such an attack comes. All Moslems will be cast into the same mold.
After 911 I had a fearful vision of a future event. It was in a large American city where a huge mosque had been built; an unknown man had commandeered the largest bulldozer I have ever seen, and had welded steel plates over the cage so no one could shoot him--he was taking down this huge mosque while onlookers fired at him.
I do not believe this was symbolic, but a literal event.
The Scriptural pattern for the judgment of a nation that has had a Covenant with and based herself on God, and then turns away is as follows:
1. God sends a false spirit into false prophets and tea-
chers who tell the people they will have peace and pros-
perity becaue they are the people of God.
2. The people believe they will be blessed even though they
live in stubborness, and are drunken with their own will
(God bascially becomes in practice who the individual
wants Him to be).
3. The nation becomes weak morally, lazy, sensual, and
wealthy, and at the same time, weak militarily.
4. The nation depends on its own strength and resources;
the knowledge and fear of God becomes a vestigal
offense, a primitive remnant from a less enlightened
time.
5. God allows the rebellious nation to continue in the
outward pursuit of Him while they indulge in pagan
hedonism and persecute those who cling to the Truth.
6. The nation makes alliances with hostile nations in
delusional blindness, selling themselves out.
7. Those nations then come against the people of God to
chastise them and bring them back to repentance.
Read Deuteronomy 28, if this seems harsh to you.
Time may be so short for so many! I hear the cry to sound the alarm, to blow the trumpet in Zion!
Since the beginning of 1997, there has been a constant theme in my spirit, the urging of the Lord to "PRAY FOR THE CITIES FORECAST FOR DESTRUCTION". This inner cry took on new meaning after 911. I wish I had the tapes of meetings I did from that time. In retrospective, I wish I had done more. I believe this will be the most sincere and sorrowful regret of most Christians in the days ahead.
I have been urged by the Lord to urge Christians to seek the well-being of the cities they live in, but to pray for the great cities of our blessed land. It seems the larger and more prosperous the city, the greater sin and blasphemy is flouted in the Face of God.
Down through the years I have felt to pray for many cities, have had reports from friends of similar inklings--one dear brother had a face-to-face encounter with Moslems in a Western city who were drunkenly boasting of their power with praise to Allah in a public place! I have heard smatterings of official reports of danger in certain locals, but found a book recommendation in Vol. XXVIII of "LAMPLIGHTER" Sept.-Oct.2007 on page 14, which summarized everything I had heard over the last decade. The title of the paragraph is "The Islamic Threat"; the quote reads, as follows:
"A deeply disturbing new book has just been released by author Paul Williams. It is entitled, 'The Day of Islam: The Annihilation of America and the Western World.'
Williams is a seasoned investigative reporter and former FBI consultant. In this book he maintains that al-Quaida is not content on detonating one nuclear device or even simply a "dirty bomb." Instead, the intention is to explode real nuclear devices in seven U.S. cities simultaneously. He claims the cities that have been targeted are New York, Washington, D.C., Las Vegas, Miami, Boston, Houston, and Los Angeles.
FBI Director, Robert Mueller, confirmed Williams' claim in a recent interview with NewsMax.
'Men will faint from fear over the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.'--Luke 21: 26."
I believe we are in a time frame of separaton and preparation, to fast, to pray, to intercede. Driving home in one shot on this trip, 23 hours from West Texas, I felt keenly a city would be hit without God's intervention. I prayed that if He would spare Sodom for the sake of ten righteous, then to please spare our cities for the sake of those therein who love Him, and those who would come who are presently ignorant.
Before I ever read this article, I have been led to pray for over a year my household would be spared radiation, plague, and plundering.
During this ministry trip, I felt the anointing to minister to people in public places as I have not known for many years. Along with this, the fear of God is being restored to me on a new level. I wondered if the many I looked upon who are "wandering as sheep without a shepherd" would be spared? I have pondered if those who, like the Ninevites, fearfully wicked, but so ignorant spiritually and morally they do not know the difference between their right hands or left, would live to see revival and Jesus lifted up?
Just preceding this trip, I was in a Southern state and was contemplating seemingly impossible situations in my own life, and woefully looking at the plight of my beloved America. Everything combined looked so ridiculously hopeless!
The Lord whispered to my heart,
"Do not be a coward, and do not fear; I have prepared for Myself a ram in the thicket!"
Less than 2 days later I stood in a church building and during worship looked at the huge banner the pastor's wife had created prophetically since I had last been at that assembly: it was on a red background with a magnificent ram with his horns caught in a thicket!
My heart lept within me!
I know there is hope; I know my Redeemer lives!
I am asking those who read this letter to PRAY FOR THE CITIES FORECAST FOR DESTRUCTION, to repent, to forgive, to turn from wickedness of every form. Pray for the safety of my family as I travel.
This is not a time for arrogance or apathy. Do not be casual--seek God for life itself.
As America lifts her skirts so that she can be easily violated by those who hate Truth and hate us, while we nationally flaunt our disregard for His warnings in the Word, we who believe have but one hope for our safety and nation,
"Now therefore," says the Lord, "Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning." So rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and He relents from doing harm. Who knows if He will turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind Him--"--Joel 2:12-14a.
May the Lord keep you all and be gracious to you. May His Face shine upon you and give you peace.
I believe the turning point has come and He has come calling for America's past due account with Him. Many avoved atheists will cry out and say, "Oh my God!" in these days and will pray. I hope He does not laugh!
Meanwhile, love the Lord Jesus with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. Reach the lost and stop stumbling in your heart over fear--the Lord is either our Strong Tower and Ever Present Help in time of need, or we make Him an adversary with rebellion and stubborness.
If you need somewhere to run, run to Him; if you need somewhere to hide, hide in Him!

"A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, but the simple pass on and are punished."--Proverbs 22:3
Remain steadfast and immovable in the work of the Lord. May He allow revival to precede judgment if we are not too far gone. This is my earnest hope and plea.
I do not speak these things idly and realize this letter will not capture me a spot in the limelight. I myself am vulnerable as most of you are to any negative change in our culture's shaky momentum.
